I
was looking back at one of my old journals and I came across something
that I had written when I was twenty, only fours short years ago, but
it marks the beginning of the spiritual journey that I still on
today.......
Is it divine intervention that we seek when we bow before something or someone that we have not seen?
Yes, I believe that it is. By bowing down to YHWH,
Christ, Buddha, Muhammad, Krishna, Alli, etc. we admit our own
failures. And in doing so we can allow ourselves to achieve success. No
matter if the God or Goddess we believe in is real or not, it is that
belief that pulls us up off the ground ready to achieve what is sought.
It is that belief that some higher power will step in, that gives us
the confidence to achieve everything that we want. However, do we not
see or, for those who do, forget that the higher power is in us? That
God is in us and believing that we can achieve anything; no matter what
life throws at us, it is in those times that we are in a position to
find our inner strength that comes from our beliefs.
So what do we do with this knowledge once it has been gained? Tossed it aside or use it to our advantage?
Those are questions I can not answer for you. But by seeking "divine
intervention" is that not finding the answers for ourselves? In a way
it is. All of the Gods or Goddess that have been worshiped throughout
our history have been real at some point in time to someone. And it was
that belief in them that got them through whatever crisis they were
facing.
In today's society we find an innumerable amount of beliefs
and some how we muddle through them all to find the truth. So my
question, is divine intervention real?
Yes and no. To some it is
everyday occurrence, to others it is a fantasy. The ones that find it
fanatical laugh at those who believe, but what do they do when they
need help. They run to the nearest Church, Mausk,
Temple, sidewalk and pray that "God" will help them. If they survive
the crisis they forget, if it doesn't turn out like it was supposed to
they blame.
For those who believe in divine intervention also
believe that whatever happens, happens for a reason. Just because
divine intervention did not come (in the form that was expected) does
not mean that the God or Goddess does not exist. It means that you
meant to go through the trial and retained the strength that you gained
from it.
That is what it means to be set apart from the world. To
see things that the rest can not. To know the outcome of certain
events, to have lived them before. To feel old at such a young age; to
be alone because of it. To have wisdom where others have none.
For
in believing we set ourselves apart, and the rest set back and laugh;
but we know the truth. This world will pass and a new one will begin
and those who believe will watch. Time will pass and we will watch; but
what will we see?
Truth or lies. Whatever the future brings we know
that we can get through it because we have FAITH. A faith in
"something". Faith that this "something" will come to our rescue and
comfort us in our time of need. It is tangible, it is real, it is what
we know. To have faith is to have the knowledge that somehow everything
will be okay. Because without faith we are nothing
Without faith there is no belief.
Without belief there is no learning.
Without learning there is no growth.
Without growth there is no change.
Without change there is no hope.
For I have learned that everything is connected. A single breath moves
a molecule, which in turn moves the surrounding molecule, till there is
a breeze which becomes the wind that moves the clouds to create the
storm that rains on the earth to give life to that which breathes.
Everything in full circle but there has to faith to start the journey.
