Listening to the rain outside inspired me to write. This is
what came out.
As always I will put the words to music, but this is all I have right now....
It was raining the last time
It came down like a flood
The skies they opened up
The thunder rolled, you held me close.
It was raining, last night
You weren't there to hold me tight,
Kiss me softly through the night,
To see your face in the morning light
I hear the quiet showers falling
If not outside, then in my heart
Try as I might, I am falling
Right back in to your arms
Heard your voice just the other day
Can't seem to get you out of my mind
I see you still I my dreams
Sometimes I still can't breathe
It was raining the last time
It was coming from my eyes
As I watched you walk away
Right out of my life
I hear the quiet showers falling
more so in my heart
but don't worry, I'm not falling
This time I will be strong.
